Most of us, at one point in our lives, have had at least one mild or sometimes extreme panic attack. And as everything in life, prevention is better than a cure. While these panic attacks are often very frightening, it is very important to realize there are strategies you can employ to stop these problems right in their tracks. Here are some tips to help you prevent panic attacks:
1. Reduce the stress in your life. It is a known fact that stress leads to feelings of panic, and that can very easily lead to panic attacks. A few things to keep in mind are:
***Get a good amount of sleep every night
***Eat regularly. Make sure what you're eating is healthy and stop skipping breakfast
***Avoid things like Coffee, Coke, or things with caffeine. Caffeine is a stimulant which will make you feel even more anxious.
***Exercise on a regular basis. This will relieve any excess tension and stress that you may have.
2.Understand your panic attacks. While reducing the stress in your life will go a big way, you need to understand what is causing your panic attacks. It may be social experiences, the dark, or even strangers. When you really start to understand what triggers these attacks, you will find that you're always one step ahead of your fear and the shock will not unnerve you.
Grab the reins of your life and start taking control! It takes a bit of change to get rid of your panic attacks, but it is all worth it in the end. All you need to do is choose what you're going to do, and take action. Good luck!
